for documentary materials and increasing their role in the museum environment.

Millar has been an archival, editorial, and educational consultant for over 25
years. She received her Master of Archival Studies degree from the <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">British
Columbia</st1:PlaceName>, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region></st1:place>,
in 1984 and her PhD in archival studies from the University of London, England,
in 1996. She is the author of nearly four dozen professional publications on a
range of topics, including records and archives management; information
systems; and editing, publishing, and writing. She has delivered dozens of
workshops, seminars, and presentations on archives and records management
around the world, from <st1:City w:st="on">Inuvik</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Northwest
Territories</st1:State> and <st1:City w:st="on">St. John’s</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Newfoundland</st1:State> to <st1:City w:st="on">Lusaka</st1:City>, <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Zambia</st1:country-region> and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Wellington</st1:City>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">New Zealand</st1:country-region></st1:place>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=2 color=black face=Verdana><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Laura
has worked with international agencies such as the International Records
Management Trust, the United Nations, and the World Bank, and with governments
around the world, including <st1:City w:st="on">Bermuda</st1:City>, <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Trinidad and Tobago</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Sri
