Dear Can-talkers, MUSEUMS OF THE SILK ROAD Macquarie University's Museum Studies Program are planning a 12 day field trip to western China (departing Sydney on September 18, 2009). Some places will be available for others to join the students and we'd like to invite you! The tour will include:- Nanjing, Xi*an, Urumqi, Turpan, Kashgar, Taskurgen, Quytun, Karzmzy, Urhe, Hoxtolgzy, Dunhuang. Places of interest: Wild Goose Pagoda, Emperor Qin*s Terracotta Warriors, Shaanxi History Museum, Xi*an City Walls, Great Mosque Xi*an, Banpo Neolithic Village Museum, Qi Tai Dinosaur Park, Museum of Xinjiang Ecology, Xinjiang Regional Museum, Kashgar factory making traditional Uygur musical instruments, Karamy -Urhe *Ghost City*, Dunhuang City Museum, Dunhuang Caves of 10,000 Buddhas and associated museum.
