The State Library of Queensland is sharing the state's history by
building digital stories from beautiful family albums made in the 1800s.
Watch the story about two migrant families from Germany and Britain
settling in Queensland on the CAN Outreach Blog.

Historian-in-residence Professor Anna Haebich knew very little about
these families so decided to read the albums as they were texts. She
says of the project: 'I found a good story in each of the albums, but
were the stories real or did I just invent them?'.
