EXHIBITIONS BOOK WINS INTERNATIONAL DESIGN PRIZE


Museums Australia (Victoria) has won First Prize in the 2008 American
Association of Museums Museum Publications Design Awards for
Exhibitions: a practical guide for small museums and galleries.


Written by Museums Australia (Victoria)'s Manager of Touring Services,
Georgia

Rouette, and designed by the Melbourne firm Ektavo, the publication won
First Prize

in the category of 'books published by an institution with a budget of
less than

US $750,000'.


Exhibitions: a practical guide for small museums and galleries was
produced by

Museums Australia (Victoria) and is an indispensable guide for small
museums and

galleries, volunteers and independent curators. The publication was a
project of the

Regional Exhibition Touring Initiative, funded by Arts Victoria. The
project was made

possible with generous funding support from The Besen Family Foundation,
The

Harold Mitchell Foundation and Arts Victoria.
