Hi Bronwyn
Many Local Council's host similar events, as Cinema under the Stars... ,
two I can think of are City of Wodonga and Albury City.
It would be calling and chatting to their events officers or cultural
development officers to find out the process.
You may even find your own local council useful.
Not sure where you are located but Film Victoria would be worth calling

[can-talk] Hire of current release
movies
17/03/08 05:12 PM
Hi All,
While I realise this isn't strictly a museum-y question I'm hoping someone
can give me some help.
One of the fundraising suggestions that has recently come up in discussions
for the museum is doing outdoor movies during summer. Someone suggested
looking into the hire of movies that aren't on DVD yet - new releases or
ones that have just finished in the cinemas. I've tried doing various
google searches to see where and how I can go about getting such movies and
the potential hire price, but can't find anything.
Before I move further on this suggestion i really need more information -
can any one help? have you done something similar, do you know how much it
costs and who to hire them from?
Thanks,
Bronwyn
