M&G NSW POWERFUL PLACES SEMINAR

Engage in the convergence debate: Powerful Places: models of convergence
in the museum, gallery and library sector seminar

The topics of co-location and convergence in cultural facilities are
currently generating substantial debate in our sector. Museums &
Galleries NSW presents Powerful Places: models of convergence in the
museum, gallery and library sector, a timely seminar addressing the
challenges and opportunities that convergence presents.

Join keynote speaker Bill Macnaught, Director, Puke Ariki, New Zealand
as he provides unique insight into his experience of establishing and
managing a pioneering converged cultural centre. Australian speakers
offer local views on planning for and realising convergence, as well as
considering how institutions and audiences are affected by the trend
towards convergence.

Part of the Power of Place, Public Libraries NSW - Country Conference,
Powerful Places: models of convergence will be held on Tuesday, 29 July
2008 at Tamworth Regional Gallery from 9.30am to 4.00pm.
