Has anyone come across examples of or the use of timber (possibly bamboo)
water pipes by Chinese market gardeners? An example in the Charters Towers
museum intrigued me during a recent review of the collections. The pipe is 3
metres long, id 100mm ext diam 135 mm, with male/female connections at the
ends. It is in four quarter round pieces that were abutted and apparently
bound when in use.
