Like many museums of technology, we have a problem with people leaving us mechanical/technological objects in their wills with caveats such as "Must be run regularly"; "must be available for family members to use" . Often these are items that we would like to have in our collection, but on our terms not those of the donor with whom we cannot negotiate, obviously. So does anyone have a legally acceptable form of words that we can recommend for potential donors to use in their will which will ensure that any object that they might wish to bequeath us comes with no caveats?
