[can-talk] Feedback about CAN

Dear CAN-Talk subscribers,

Thank you for your spirited debate and feedback about this list over the
last few days.  I will keep these comments in mind when I moderate CAN lists
in the future.

The moderation, administration and maintenance of the lists on CAN,
particularly CAN-talk, is an important role, which is allocated a
significant portion of the resources available to CAN, mostly in the form of
my time and attention.  Moderation of CAN-talk is designed to ensure that
the list meets its aim, as stated on the CAN-talk info page:

"The CAN talk list: a discussion group focussing on issues, practice and
theory relating to the Australian Collections Sector. All people working in
the Collections Sector are welcome to exchange ideas and information."

This is a very large list, whose subscribers reflect the diversity of people
and interests that make up the Australian Collections sector, as has been
shown in some of the other questions and answers that appeared on this list
this week.  I hope that this level of discussion and exchange on the list
continues to flourish.  

If anyone would like to discuss the moderation of CAN-talk with me now or in
the future, my contact details are below.  I am open to any suggestions
about the future moderation and structure of this list.  We will be
reviewing all the CAN lists during the course of this year.
