Thank you Merle; I have read your comments over the years and enjoyed them. I agree with your remarks on this subject. It's great to connect and converse on a human level. And if it's a day that's too busy (or serious!)to respond or engage with museum chat, it's pretty easy to pass it by and delete. And my comment yesterday originally was blocked. My point is that even though I feel swamped by the ever-growing demands of "paperwork" - reporting etc, it is great to have a "conversation" with colleagues in a wide variety of museums across the country (including the doily and machinery ones!). I like to see those queries, (& will follow this with one of my own) but a little chatter is good too. It's human. m Merle Hathaway Director Horsham Regional Art Gallery 80 Wilson Street, Horsham, Victoria 3400, Australia (03) 5362 2880 t (03) 5382 5407 f Work mobile: 0447 595455 www.horshamartgallery.com.au ----- Original Message ----- From: <Sebastian.Gurciullo at prov.vic.gov.au> To: "Merle Hathaway" <merle.hathaway at hrcc.vic.gov.au> Cc: "CAN Talk" <can-talk at collectionsaustralia.net> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 9:56 AM Subject: Re: [can-talk] Censorship > > > > > If the list is meant to foster all manner of discussion on issues, theory > and practice relating to collections, and should not just be a forum for > exchanging useful information, is it worth asking what it was about > Merle's > posts that was deemed inappropriate?
