I'm sorry to return to the mundane (especially as it is my first post to can-talk) but the recent revival in activity has reminded me what a great resource it is for museums. My mystery object is about 50cm across and one suggestion is that it was an egg incubator. We have no idea of its history but have a dearth of information and objects pertaining to the long history of poultry farming in Australia so cannot be sure. Equipment maintenance staff at a major hospital tell me they don't believe it is medical in origin. Can anyone shed any light on this object?
