[can-talk] Greetings from CAN

Dear CAN-talk subscribers,

I'd like to thank Merle Hathaway for her comments about CAN-talk, and to
take this opportunity to reinvigorate the discussions on CAN-talk after a
quiet patch over the holiday period.

The CAN-talk list is a discussion group focussing on issues, practice and
theory relating to the Australian Collections Sector. All people working in
the Collections Sector are welcome to exchange ideas and information.
  
All subscribers are welcome to make a posting to the CAN-talk list, which is
moderated by CAN to ensure that the post is appropriate to the list and its
audience.  CAN also maintains several other subscription based email
discussion lists available to the public: CAN-exhibitions, CAN-events,
CAN-news, CAN-jobs, and Artbooks.  Links to the information for these lists
can be found on the left hand side of the CAN front page
www.collectionsaustralia.net. Each of these lists has a specific purpose and
audience, and you are welcome to subscribe and post to them.
