[can-talk] AIATSIS Thesaurus

Dear Colleagues

We have finally completed work on the subject (topical) thesaurus to
complement our language and place thesauri. It was a major task. 

There is now a new web page which brings all three thesauri together.

I do know that the subject thesaurus was the one that most people were
interested in. The thesaurus interacts with Mura, the AIATSIS Catalogue

AIATSIS recognises the need for libraries, archives and other collecting
agencies to use more appropriate headings to catalogue / index
Indigenous material. These thesauri should also be useful for Indigenous
knowledge centres and keeping places. The full thesauri can be
downloaded in pdf format as a working tool. 

It would be great if you could add / or update your links to us - and
pass on to anyone you think would be interested. I will be submitting an
article for Incite for the Jan/Feb 2008 issue.
