The Australian  Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) list of members in private practice is on AICCM's website at
http://www.aiccm.org.au/public/content/ViewCategory.aspx?id=5.   There is a list for Victoria. Search for someone with the specialisation 'Paper', 'Books' and/or Collection Management.  You will probably find it helpful to read the 'Guidelines for Commissioning Conservation Treatment' too.

Hi Everyone,

Old Gippstown is a large open-air museum at Moe in Gippsland, Victoria.

We have been fortunate to receive funding through a Community Heritage
Grant from the National Library to commission a Preservation Needs
report on the Narracan Mechanics' Institute collection. This is a
collection of about 2,500 books and associated borrowing records etc.
