I am currently looking for venues. Anyone interested?

Women Transported - life in Australia's convict female factories is an
exhibition being developed for tour by Parramatta Heritage Centre Jan 2009
- Dec 2010
If you are interested in being a venue on this tour please contact me

Here is a brief description:

These gritty factory women endured 17th and early 18th century British
poverty, left families behind, survived the high seas, translocation to an
unfamiliar place and often harsh penal system to become the farmers,
business women, tradeswomen and ‘mothers’ of the nation.

This exhibition includes rarely accessible objects from the early colony,
art from significant Colonial artists and is drawn from national, state and
regional public and private collections.

Exhibition Themes: British historical/social context; journey to Colony;
female factories – NSW, Queensland, Tasmania; life for convict women inside
and outside the factory -Including social structures, daily life and
assignment; significance of the female factories Now – descendants,
contribution to the making of contemporary Australian identity.

Cost per venue is $4,000
Support Material includes Media kit, Tour Manual
Publications - catalogue DVD education kit and public programs relevant to
all stages in the History and Culture and Society  syllabus areas including
Extension History.
