Do you complete an Australian Bureau of Statistics SIS survey?

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has started reviewing its Service
Industries Surveys (SIS) for Public Libraries / Archives (Cat. No. 8561.0)
and Museums (Cat. No. 8560.0) prior to the next scheduled run of these
surveys. The Collections Council is a stakeholder reference group for the
review.

The survey forms that were used for the last data-gathering (for the year
ending June 2004) have been made available to the Collections Council by the
ABS.

on the ABS website.

If you have comments on the previous surveys, we invite you to contact the
Collections Council's Development Officer, Veronica Bullock. We are
interested to hear whether you think the standard SIS questionnaires might
be improved, and how useful you find the SIS survey results.

Contact Veronica at email research at collectionscouncil.com.au or on 08 8207
