CollectionsCare - the Collections Council's proposal for regional
collections

The Collections Council engaged Anne Dunn last year to examine the concept
of 'regional hubs' - a system of support for collections located in regional
areas across Australia. Many thanks to all who made the time to speak with
Anne, or to submit written suggestions and observations during her
nation-wide consultation. The Collections Council of Australia Ltd has
received Anne's report, and has now published it online as The Dunn Report.

The Council's response to The Dunn Report is entitled CollectionsCare. The
Council believes that, by connecting people more effectively with their
collections, CollectionsCare will deliver strong gains in cultural, social
and economic capital for Australia. We have produced a brochure to promote
the proposal which is being widely distributed in hard copy, and is also
available on our website.

If you are interested in the sustainability of collections across Australia
we urge you to support this proposal by bringing CollectionsCare to the
attention of your elected representatives, electoral candidates and
government officers at all three levels of government. Additional copies of
the brochure are available on request.
