[can-talk] Re Silk Information and Artefacts

Gidday,

 

The Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre museum is currently researching Silk
to form an exhibition from October 2007 to February 2008.

 

Is there any information about the production of Silk; importing silk; the
uses of Silk (with particular emphasis between 1850 and 1940s); any facts
regarding silk; or any other relevant information relating to the history
and the subsequent use by Australians, or by Chinese in Australia, of Silk.
