Conservation / Preservation Showcase

 

The Collections Council has launched an online Conservation / Preservation
Showcase that aims to raise awareness about the field of conservation and
preservation in Australia. The Showcase seeks to represent all four of the
major collecting domains - archives, galleries, libraries and museums - as
well as historical societies, indigenous keeping places and interpretation
centres. The target audiences include the collections sector, and the
broader community. The URL is:

The Conservation / Preservation Showcase has three strands:

supplied by individuals currently working in conservation / preservation.

case studies supplied by organisations working in conservation /
preservation.

esources: a guide to sources of information about education, training and
employment.

 

The Showcase is envisaged as an evolving resource that will, over coming
months, more fully represent the many facets of work in the field of
Australian conservation and preservation. To provide feedback on the
