CAN you help - Looking for objects and images in your collections from first fleet to about 1850? An exhibition is being developed here on Convict Women's experience with a focus on Parramatta and the Parramatta Female Factory within the context of other female factories in the colony and convict women 'out in the colony'. There is very little visual material showing female convicts or relating to them or the female factories. Early objects made or produced by Colonial women may also give a context. If you have any pictures, objects or documents letting me know about them would help with the early stages of this exhibition. Also if you are working in the regions and there are community members who are doing research on their Parramatta Female Factory ancestors that would be helpful too. Kind regards Gay _________________________________ Gay Hendriksen Curator Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre PO Box 32 Parramatta NSW 2124 346A Church Street Parramatta NSW 2150 T 8839 3324 M 0404 834 541 F 9683 5608 E ghendriksen at parracity.nsw.gov.au Be the change you want to see in the world ________________________________ Parramatta First - the Leading City at the Heart of Sydney Visit View Attachment Attention: This e-mail is privileged and confidential.
