Calling all Queensland museums, galleries, cultural/heritage precincts, libraries, archives, performance spaces, interpretation/visitor centres and arts incubators CALL FOR PAPERS M&GSQ State Conference 3C's: Contemporary Collecting and Communication Gold Coast, Queensland 14-16 September, 2007 Call for Papers, Panels, Posters Closing date Friday 15 June Available on the M&GSQ website <View Attachment> View Attachment Proposals for conference presentations are invited from members of the Queensland museum and gallery community. Presentation types will include poster sessions, collaborative panels and individual papers. All presentations should relate to the conference theme. The Conference theme is Contemporary Collecting and Communication. This is a M&GSQ state conference on museums, galleries, collections and communities. It is conceived as a state wide opportunity, 4 years on from the first combined MAQ/RGAQ conference held in Mooloolaba 2003. Sub themes may include: . Pros and cons of convergence and collaborations (eg cultural/heritage precincts, museums, galleries, libraries, archives, performance spaces, interpretation/visitor centres, arts incubators and other non-collecting organisations) . Contribution to public debate and quality of life . Cross disciplinary centres of learning and engagement . Impact of new technologies . Collecting for the future now All proposals will be considered by the conference organisers and you will be notified if your proposal is accepted for the conference program.
