M&GSQ 2006 Peer Talk: Divergent Notions of Treasure

Friday 8 December, 2pm- 6pm (slq group tours from 12pm - 1pm)

M&GSQ is pleased to announce that the focus of its 2006 Peer Talk: Reviewing
Exhibitions event will be the design and philosophy of The State Library of
Queensland's redevelopment, and the exhibition, National Treasures from
Australia's Greatest Libraries, as well as its locally curated opening
exhibitions based on divergent notions of 'treasure'. Participate in our
sixth exhibitions peer review event on Friday 8 December, 2pm- 6pm. Group
tours of the new site available from 12pm - 1pm.

+ Hear about the design and philosophy behind the State Library of
Queensland's redevelopment and its locally curated opening exhibitions 
+ Listen to the rationale for the National Library of Australia's travelling
exhibition National Treasures from Australia's Greatest Libraries 
+ Take the opportunity to see the exhibitions and the new building for
yourself
+ Hear what three expert reviewers think
+ Respond to the reviewers and developers

Enjoy a pre- Christmas get together with colleagues, at the same time
engaging in a lively critical discussion!

Cost: $40 MAQ/RGAQ members, students, volunteers $50 non members .
