Dear All The Greater Geelong City Council is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Consultants to undertake a significance assessment and development plan for the growing historical collection of important historical assets held by the National Wool Museum. The Museum is now in its 20th year of operation and the City of Greater Geelong is preparing a Master Plan that seeks to evaluate the use of space within the building in order to maximise its cultural and commercial opportunities. The National Wool Museum now requires an accurate significance assessment and development plan to be undertaken on its growing historical collection and library. The significance assessment will help to identify key holdings within the collection in order to prioritise exhibition and collection management resources. This will assist in increasing public access to the museums nationally significant collection and associated activities.
