It is the only Regional Museum in the St George district - a hub of community activity, talks, special events and exhibitions.The Museum is seeking to appoint a customer focused and resourceful individual to join their team. You will be responsible for providing interesting and dynamic exhibitions, public programs and information that reflects the history, heritage and culture of the St George region. The position is also solely responsible for the efficient management of the volunteer program.Selection Criteria:• A Degree in Museum Science or appropriate qualifications with suitable expertise and experience in developing exhibitions and public programs.• Experience in handling cultural and historical material and sensitivity when dealing with cultural issues.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse client/user groups.• Team orientated.• Knowledge and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).• Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
