Museum Victoria is undertaking a major project to develop and build new
exhibitions in the Science & Life Gallery.  Based at Melbourne Museum,
Australia's largest and best-attended museum, the primary focus of these
positions is to assist with the installation and de-installation of
collection material related to the redevelopment of the Science & Life
Gallery.

 

You will possess a thorough knowledge of collection management
principles and practices, as well as relevant experience in managing
collection material selected for exhibition, including exhibition
preparation and the physical installation of museum objects.   You will
have a sound knowledge and demonstrated experience with the methods of
handling, packing and moving museum objects according to professional
museum standards and a proven ability to use computerised collection
management systems.
