Employment opportunity at the City of Port Phillip: 

Collection Registrar (12 month maternity leave position)

 

We require an innovative Collection Registrar experienced in museum
standard collection care to manage the Port Phillip City Collection. The
Collection consists of approximately 10,000 heritage items and 490
artworks. The part time (0.5) position is a member of the Curatorial
Services team.

 

It is expected that the successful applicant will possess excellent
knowledge of current museum industry issues and standards in the
conservation, handling, storage, documentation, exhibition and
interpretation of cultural heritage collections. A keen interest in and
knowledge of cultural history as it relates to the Port Phillip City
Collection, and a willingness to participate in a dynamic local
government environment is essential.

 

An attractive salary in the range of  $48,347 to $56,336 (pro rata) will
be negotiated with the successful applicant.
