DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - PLANNED GIVING & BEQUESTS, Clerk Grade 7-8,
Development Unit. Temporary part time (21 hours per week) for a period
up to two (2) years. Position No. TMP585/08. Total remuneration package
valued at up to $50,913 pro-rata pa, including salary ($41,681 -
$46,138) employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave
loading.

Create, develop, implement and coordinate the Australian Museum and the
Australian Museum Foundation's (AMF) planned giving strategies, plus
deliver growth in bequests and other gifts to the Australian Museum and
AMF and service the AMF.

Selection Criteria: Demonstrated track record in the creation, design,
implementation and management of highly successful, financially
responsible and professionally executed bequest and major donor
programs. Excellent client service, networking and donor
management/relationship building skills and a demonstrated ethical,
professional manner that exhibits understanding, tact, discretion and
commitment to a high standard of performance. Analytical, written,
interpersonal and public speaking skills that demonstrate considerable
experience, sector knowledge and sound understanding of the sensitive,
complex, technical and confidential issues of planned giving and
bequests. Well-developed, practical experience with donor relationship
and contact management database systems, and with Microsoft Office
applications or their equivalents. High level of attention to detail and
accuracy, accompanied by effective organisational and time management
skills. Demonstrated initiative, and capacity to work effectively
individually and as part of a team within defined organisational
policies and legislative requirements.Current driver's license essential



Job Notes: Temporary, part-time (21 hours per week) position with
appointment/employment under Section 27 or 86 of the Public Sector
Employment and Management 2002 for a period of up to two (2) years.  The
position holder may be required to work outside of normal hours
including some evenings and weekends.
