DESIGN MANAGER, Clerk Grade 9/10, Exhibition and Creative Services.
Permanent Full-Time, Position No. AM226/08.  Total remuneration package
valued at up to $96,295, including salary ($79,188 - $87,263), employers
contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Manage, direct and lead the team in the Design Unit in the production of
design material. Implement and monitor the Museum's identity, guidelines
and exhibition masterplan in the development of design for public
programs and exhibitions.



Selection Criteria:

Excellent and current working knowledge of all aspects of graphic and 3D
design and production processes. Demonstrated skills in project
management, presentation, budget management, planning and delivery of a
variety of design projects, including delivery of multiple projects
simultaneously. Excellent communication and client-service skills.
Experience of the strategic role of design in the work of a large
cultural or related organisation. Demonstrated extensive experience in
the creation, design and production of graphic material using a range of
media and technologies. Experience of leading the implementation and
management of brand identity and graphic guidelines. Extensive
experience in staff management and leading a design team. Graphic Design
qualifications or current equivalent industry experience. Excellent
working knowledge of computer based design programs including
QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.



Job Notes: Applicant must have a current portfolio available for
interview.  A period of six months probation will apply to the
successful applicant if appointed external to the NSW Public Sector.
