Your previous experience installing art work, including safe art handling, gallery preparation, wall preparation and painting, framing and matting, skilled carpentry, gallery lighting, audiovisual technology, crate construction and fit out, and working with a collection is highly sought after. You enjoy working in a positive team environment, have good interpersonal skills, can multi-task and work well under pressure. Applications close 1st February 2008 CASUAL ART EDUCATORS Art Educators are integral members of the Education team. Our aim is to provide visitors with relevant, engaging and rewarding insights into the MCA collection and exhibitions, as well as, cultural contexts in which contemporary art is made. Art Educators are responsible for leading tours, assisting with event planning and design, developing learning resources, delivering hands-on workshops and courses to a wide range of audiences. The Art Educator position is ideal for professional artists or teachers who are interested in engaging with the MCA and contributing their talent to the community in an educational context.
