Assistant Registrar 
3 year contract position

The MCA is seeking to appoint an Assistant Registrar to assist in the
management of the Museum's Exhibitions and Collections.

Reporting to the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar contributes to the
management of exhibitions and collections by coordinating the safe
movement of artworks locally, nationally and internationally; recommends
and implements procedures in relation to packing of artworks for transit
and storage, ensures safe handling and care of artworks on display and
in transit, as well as coordinating the Museum's program of Outward
Loans.

The successful applicant will need; 

*	Previous experience coordinating the safe movement of
exhibitions and collections 
*	Minimum 3 years experience in Museum registration preferably
with contemporary art
*	Excellent planning and organisational skills,
*	Knowledge of and experience in maintaining information systems
*	Experience managing outward loans
*	Qualifications in fine art or equivalent or museum studies
*	Experience working with contemporary art is an advantage.

with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Good interpersonal skills, able to deliver a variety of projects to
deadline and within budget.
