Events Coordinator, Volunteering Australia
0.6 FTE - Fixed Term Contract (concluding 30 September 2008) 

Applications close 29th February 2008

To provide support in the delivery of the key objectives of the National
Conference on Volunteering by providing event coordination, project
logistics coordination and administrative support.

SELECTION CRITERIA

ESSENTIAL
1. Previous experience coordinating large national events and/or
conferences.
2. A strong work ethic, proven time management and project coordination
skills.
3. Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, flexibility and the
capacity to effectively manage competing project priorities.
4. Capacity to work under pressure, to be adaptable and responsive and
to manage the needs of multiple stakeholders.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare
briefings and papers for stakeholders, management and Committee.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
7. Good interpersonal skills, a commitment to working collaboratively in
a team environment and an ability to work independently when required. 
8. Well-developed IT skills including word, excel and outlook 

DESIRABLE 
1. Previous experience within and/or understanding of the Volunteer
Sector.
2. Previous experience working in a not-for-profit organisation or
government role with exposure to the not-for-profit sector
