For more details on the following vacancies go to www.mca.com.au/employment HEAD OF SPONSORSHIP AND MARKETING - 3 year contract The Museum of Contemporary Art is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to the position of Head of Sponsorship and Marketing Reporting to the Director/CEO, Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, you play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Museum's marketing & communications strategy and sponsorship programs. This position forms part of the Senior Executive Team and works closely with the MCA Board of Directors and both the fundraising and programming teams. Your approach is entrepreneurial, innovative and proactive and you are able to take a broad organisational view and provide a unifying voice on strategic and operational issues. You have responsibility for leading a team of marketing professionals delivering across all areas of Marketing, Brand Management, Corporate Relations, Sponsorship, PR & Publicity, Visitor Research, Design, web & online communications and Retail Operations. Applications close 29 February 2008 CURATOR - 3 year contract This highly sought after position is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of contemporary exhibitions and other projects, assisting in the development of the Museum's collections through exhibition and acquisition, and liaison with guest curators and artists. You will also undertake research in relation to proposed and planned exhibitions and on the MCA's collection. You will have a creative approach to exhibition planning and presentation with a minimum of 3 years curatorial experience. You are comfortable with public speaking and have exceptional communication and project management skills. Knowledge of Australian and international contemporary art and an understanding of the needs of artists and issues surrounding the public presentation of contemporary art are crucial to the role. Applications close 8 February 2008 ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT, ARTISTIC PROGRAMS We are looking for a high level Admin Assistant to provide support the Head of Artistic Programs and the Curatorial team. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning of exhibition projects and related programs, ensuring schedules are up-to-date and available. General admin duties include preparing correspondence, filing, organising appointments, entering information into the MCA data-base Raiser's Edge and administration of the MCA photographic image archive and digital images.
