This exciting role requires a person with excellent presentation, first class customer service skills and who takes pride in the quality of their work. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area and communications within the MCA office and MCA tenants. A typical day will see you greeting and announcing visitors, answering and transferring calls, organising couriers, booking meeting rooms and providing the general public with information on current MCA exhibitions and special events. www.mca.com.au Curatorial Assistant - Applications close 28 April The MCA is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Curatorial Assistant to join the Curatorial Team. Reporting to the Senior Curator, this position supports the curators assisting with the planning, development and presentation of the MCA's exhibitions and projects. The Curatorial Assistant's role is a crucial point of communication, working closely with all departments across the Museum, including Education and Access, Registration and Collection, Exhibition Services (installation), Marketing & Sponsorship, and MCA Visitor Services during all stages of MCA exhibitions. Responsibilities include maintaining the Museum's publications inventory, sourcing/captioning images for reproduction; assisting with catalogue production including assembling of artists' biographies and proof reading; and general administrative tasks. This position also looks after specific needs of the artists, from the coordination of artists' travel to accommodation needs. www.mca.com.au Visitor Experience Coordinator - Applications close 2 May The MCA are looking to appoint a dynamic Visitor Experience Coordinator to join the Education and Access team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Education & Access, the Visitor Experience Coordinator is responsible for managing and directing a large number of casual and part-time staff which include; Team Leaders who staff the MCA's front-of-house reception, a team of Visitor Services Officers and the MCA Volunteer Guides, all of which are the first point of contact for the museum. The Visitor Experience Coordinator plays a pivotal role ensuring clear and consistent communication exists throughout the museum and regularly liaises with Security, the Facilities Coordinator, Curatorial, Exhibitions, Education, Registration, Venue Sales and Sponsorship & Marketing staff. This role delivers practical and relevant information on visitor attendance and audiences to the relevant departments by means of regular monthly and seasonal reports. www.mca.com.au Fundraising Events Coordinator - Applications close 5 May The MCA is looking for an exceptional event coordinator to manage our Ambassador events. Our Ambassadors are a dynamic group of individuals who provide donations to solo exhibitions, Australian artists, Education programs and the MCA Collection. The MCA offers Ambassadors exclusive previews, private viewing and special events. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, responsibilities include managing the MCA signature fundraising event - the Bella Dinner. The role is central to ensuring all communication is clear, consistent and timely with various internal departments, external suppliers, stakeholders, suppliers, donors and corporate & community supporters leading up to the event.
