Good Afternoon, Please find below the details of a current vacancy with the National Museum of Australia. Exhibition Program Coordinators APS Level 6 – 2 Positions (Ongoing and Non-ongoing) $59,598 to $68,461 per annum plus superannuation. Role The Exhibitions Section is responsible for providing project management for the National Museum of Australia’s temporary and travelling exhibition program, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard. The Exhibition Program Coordinators are responsible for managing the delivery of the Museum’s exhibitions; undertaking overall project management duties including the management of design contractors, development of budgets, procurement strategies and schedules and the management of contracts and logistical support for the Museum’s temporary and travelling exhibitions. As one of two Exhibition Program Coordinators with the Museum you will: · Undertake a project management role for the development and delivery of temporary and travelling exhibitions, utilising project management tools. · Coordinate exhibition schedules for the Museum’s temporary exhibitions and travelling exhibitions. · Prepare and monitor forward plans, budgets, contracts and strategy documents for the Museum exhibition program. · Implement procurement procedures relating to the design, fabrication and installation of Museum exhibitions. · Coordinate project meetings including chairing of meetings and leading project teams. · Assist with the physical installation and de-installation of Museum exhibitions. · Work cooperatively with the other Exhibition Program Coordinator, and other members of the Exhibition team, to plan and effectively manage the exhibition program. · Assist with the development of policy, procedure and procurement documents. · Liaise with Museum and external stakeholders in relation to the coordination of activities associated with the exhibitions program. · Ensure that he/she has sufficient supervision, instruction and equipment to undertake his/her work safely and that employees are provided with sufficient supervision, instruction and equipment to enable them to perform their duties safely.
