The National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) is looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator Full-time NAVA is seeking to appoint a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to provide skilled marketing and communication services. This position is primarily responsible for: promoting NAVA¹s achievements, products and services and expanding NAVA¹s membership and community engagement implementing the promotional and marketing plan. This will include managing media relationships, publicity and all aspects of communication managing the production of NAVA¹s information resources including managing production and distribution of online & hard copy publications, uploading content for NAVA¹s website and producing the NAVA Quarterly journal. The successful applicant will need: Essential Demonstrated experience of working in a marketing, promotion and/or publicity role Excellent entrepreneurial communication skills, both written and verbal with strong inter-personal skills Proven project planning and management skills and the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, preferably with Adobe Creative Suite Demonstrated proficiency and experience in researching, writing, editing and publishing for the web Demonstrated experience in the development of publications and communication materials Experience of working with designers, printers and publishers Ability to work effectively in a small team environment, and with minimum supervision and within budget Demonstrated understanding of and/or interest in the visual arts sector in Australia Desirable Experience of working within the not for profit sector and ability to manage the challenges of limited budgets Experience of working with various media outlets and producing media kits and media releases This is a challenging and rewarding role that will suit an individual with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
