Applications are invited from people with suitable experience and qualifications for the position of Curator (permanent part-time), at Mary MacKillop Place Museum.

Located in the heart of North Sydney, Mary MacKillop Place is a physical and spiritual oasis, and the resting place of Blessed Mary MacKillop. Many pilgrims visit the Chapel and Mary’s Tomb each day.

Mary MacKillop Place Museum provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience, understand and appreciate the life and times of Mary MacKillop – a truly great Australian.

The two main purposes of the role of curator are:
•   to interpret the life, work and spirituality of Mary MacKillop in ways that resonate with the Sisters of St Joseph and a broad cross section of Australians and overseas visitors; and
•   to collaborate with the Sisters of St Joseph in reviewing and implementing any changes required to the permanent exhibition as Mary MacKillop Place develops into a National Shrine

This is a permanent part-time position, working three days per week.
The salary level for the position will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
