The Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour has a vacancy
as follows:
 
Conservator - Objects 
APS Level 5
$52,778 - $55,964 per annum 
This is a Non-ongoing vacancy for 12 months.

Duties  of this vacancy are: Carry out and document preservation,
conservation and restoration treatments in the area of object
conservation with attention to wood, metals and composite objects. 
Participate in conservation projects and programs, including: exhibition
development and production; object support and storage design;
collection surveys; preventive conservation; research; and educational
workshops on the conservation of cultural material.  Assist with
planning and development of preventive conservation programs.  Provide
assistance to the Head of Conservation as required. 
Eligibility:  Applicants for vacancies at the ANMM must be Australian
citizens.  Applications may be accepted from permanent residents who
have applied for citizenship.
