This is a position description for a Heritage Project Officer with 
Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA). 

CVA is a national not-for-profit organisation that undertakes practical 
conservation projects. The position is based in Geelong (Victoria) within 
a team involved in facilitating' Heritagecare' projects in the south-west 
region of the State.   

Heritagecare is a program supported by the Victorian Government's heritage 
strategy Victoria's Heritage: Strengthening our communities.  It assists 
with heritage conservation work utilising volunteer support. Heritagecare 
assists a broad range of public and private heritage place, object and 
collection managers and enables people to become involved in the heritage 
management within their local area.   Heritagecare is delivered by CVA in 
partnership with Heritage Victoria, the Victorian Government's principal 
historic heritage agency.
