Collection Location Systems (CLS) Project Officer

Help shape the future of Victoria's great museums.

 

Encompassing Immigration Museum, Melbourne Museum and IMAX Theatre, the
Royal Exhibition Building and Scienceworks, Museum Victoria is an
integral part of Victoria's cultural life.

 

We are looking for applicants with an interest in collection management
to assist in the implementation of a collection inventory system for
Museum Victoria's diverse collections.

 

Utilising MVWISE, a portable interface for our core collection database
KeEMu, the successful applicant will physically access the Museum's
collections and capture data relevant to inventory control. They will
also participate in the installation of a standardised location address
system for collection material across store and display areas. 

 

The work will occur primarily in the History and Technology collections
but some work involving Natural Sciences and Indigenous Cultures
collections may also be expected.
