The Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour has a vacancy
as follows:
 
Senior Conservator - Objects 
 APS Level 6
$57,002 - $65,479 per annum 

Duties  of this vacancy are: Lead, plan, carry out and document
preservation, conservation and restoration treatments in the area of
object conservation, with attention to composite and related organic
objects and another area of specialisation.  Lead or participate in
conservation projects, including: exhibition development and production;
collection surveys; preventive conservation projects; research projects;
and educational workshops on the conservation of cultural material, as
they relate to organic and related object conservation.  Provide
assistance to the Head of Conservation as required. 
Eligibility:  Applicants for vacancies at the ANMM must be Australian
citizens.  Applications may be accepted from permanent residents who
have applied for citizenship.
