MUSEUM OF NEW ZEALAND TE PAPA TONGAREWA

Interpreter for new Twentieth Century History exhibition
Fixed term two years

As part of the Product Development Group you will develop creative and exciting interpretive media for Te Papa's new Twentieth Century History exhibition.  

Your knowledge and experience of museum visitors, exhibition development and tikanga Mäori will enable you to cater for a diverse audience with a range of learning styles. Ideally, you will have experience in producing a range of interpretive media such as audio-visuals and/or interactives. You will have a strong knowledge of New Zealand history. The ability to think laterally, along with your strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ability to work in a deadline driven environment, will make you an ideal candidate for this role. Previous museum experience is desirable, as is a background in broadcasting, journalism and/or education.
