Manager, Commissioning

As one of NSW's most interactive and diverse arts organisations, we
present a mix of exhibitions, collections and programs attracting a
large audience.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the development
and successful implementation of a new, integrated, product programming
strategy which includes a mix of exhibitions, public and education
programs, publications and web services that fulfil the strategic plan.
Additionally, you will be managing a small team.

Ideally you will have proven experience of (a) commissioning and (b)
programming products either for museums, television, film or theatre; a
high-level of business planning experience; strong knowledge of
exhibition development procedures and/or other visual/performing
arts/new media products. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
coupled with strong analytical and research skills relating to product
performance and audience trends. Extensive knowledge and understanding
of the museum sector and/or other visual/performing arts/new media
sectors is also required.

This is a two year fixed term contract. Closing date is Friday 11th May
