Job Vacancies at Museum Victoria:

 

1.         Exhibition Site Manger, Mind Exhibition 

Grade 4 Value Range 1

Salary: $58,550 per annum + 9% Super

This vacancy is Full Time and Fixed Term for 6 Months

The purpose of the position of Exhibition Site Manager is to lead the
on-site de-installation and installation of exhibitions, managing the
installation team and other specialist staff and contractors to ensure
appropriate application of safe work practices and Museum Victoria OHS
policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.  

 

The position is responsible for the implementation of safe work
practices and the day-to-day running of a safe work site. The position
has the authority to supervise and direct work on site and is
responsible for the resolution of issues and conflicts that may occur.
The position is responsible for preliminary activities and regulatory
requirements associated with the establishment of safe work practices
and the required reporting and record keeping.

 

2.         Assistant Producer, Mind Exhibition 

Grade 3 Value Range 1

Salary: $47,295 per annum + 9% Super

This vacancy is Full Time and Fixed Term (until October 2007)

The position of Assistant Producer will assist the Producer during the
documentation, production and installation phases of the project to
deliver the completed exhibition, within scope, budget and timeframe.

 

In achieving the above, the primary accountability of the position is to
assist the Producer responsible for delivering The Mind Exhibition by
liaising with project team members & other relevant Museum staff,
coordinating contractors & undertaking other related activities during
the design, documentation, production and installation phases of the
exhibition. The occupant will deliver the outcomes within agreed
parameters relating to budget, resources, timelines and quality.
