A free seminar for small to medium sized collecting organisations.

 

The Web, and how collecting organisations are using it to make their
activities and collections more discoverable, is growing in importance.
This FREE one day seminar is for organisations interested in making their
collections more accessible via the web.  

 

With presenters from leading Sydney collecting organisations, the
presentations and discussions will focus on demonstrating what organisations
are currently doing in this field, their results, issues and future
directions. Please join us for an exciting day of discussion, new ideas and
inspiration. Presentations will explore:

 

o              The importance of online and web tools for effective
marketing and promotion of organisations and collections

o              Creating engaging web and online content

o              The relationship between documentation of collections,
digitisation and online discoverability

o              The latest trends, future directions and best practice in
these areas

 

And there will be opportunities for discussion and questions with a Forum to
conclude the day.
