Learning Opportunities and Museums SEMINAR Melbourne, 15-17 September 2008 Earlybird registrations close 31 July 2008. Book now. Museums Australia Education Network Victoria (envi) in partnership with Museums Australia (Victoria) invites you to a seminar that explores current learning opportunities in museums, and a special viewing of the Art Deco 1910 -1939 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces Exhibition at the NGV. Monday 15 September Museum Site Visits (optional) Welcome Drinks hosted by City Museum at Old Treasury Tuesday 16 September Seminar: Onsite: Melbourne Museum Offsite: State Library of Victoria Seminar Dinner (optional) Wednesday 17 September Seminar: Online: Australia Centre for the Moving Image Events: National Gallery of Victoria NGV Art Deco 1910-1939 - evening viewing The four museums will introduce each theme and invite three speakers to comment on the key relevant issue. This will be followed by a series of shorter presentations chaired by the MA Education Network. There will be an opportunity to view and discuss exhibits, programs or resources at each museum hosted by members of staff. Earlybird registrations close 31 July 2008.
