Museums Australia NSW Branch presents GOVERNMENT HOUSE AFTER REFURBISHMENT The completion of the newly refurbished drawing rooms at Government House last September, marked the culmination of a decade of intensive planning and collaboration by the Historic Houses Trust with consultants, artists, craftspeople, designers and manufacturers. The aim of the project was to not only restore the building and its historic interiors but to re-establish its historic reputation as a showcase for contemporary art, craft and design in New South Wales. The tour provides an opportunity to view these innovative interiors and gain insight into the historic elements of the building that inspired the Trust's development of the To Furnish a Future philosophy. Tour conducted by curators Ann Toy and Robert Griffin.
