Museum & Gallery Services Qld State Conference 14-16 September 2007 Legends Hotel & Q1 Resort & Spa, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland 3C's: Contemporary Collecting and Communication Museum & Gallery Services Queensland's 2007 State Conference provides a full program of master classes, skill sessions and keynote speakers over two and a half days, from 14 to 16 September. The Conference presents an excellent opportunity to explore the topical issues in museum & gallery practice, network with colleagues from around the state, while enjoying a 'sea change'. The Conference commences Friday after lunch with a choice of master classes and skills sessions held in Surfers Paradise, at Q1, the brand new icon building on the Coast, and continues over the weekend at nearby Legends Hotel, a well established Gold Coast events venue. Accommodation at special rates for delegates is available at Legends Hotel. Social functions and recreational activities showcase the Coast's stunning natural and cultural assets. Call for Papers - Closes 15 June 2007 Proposals for conference presentations are invited from members of the Queensland museum and gallery community. Presentation types will include poster sessions, collaborative panels and individual papers. All presentations should relate to the conference theme of Contemporary Collecting and Communication. Bursaries M&GSQ, MAQ and RGAQ are offering bursaries for volunteers and paid staff to attend professional development activities such as the M&GSQ 2007 State Conference.
