E.O. HOPPE'S AUSTRALIA
Photographs by Emil Otto Hoppe

Ground Floor & Level 2
May 8 - July 1, 2007

Customs House is currently showing an exhibition of photographs taken by
Emil Otto Hoppe. German born Hoppe (b.1878) was one of London's leading
portaiture photographers in his time and was an early pioneer in the
genre of travel photography. He travelled to Australia in 1930 and
captured an amazing document of the development of the young Australian
