Film Screening: Women of the Sun Well before the so-called 'history wars' over representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island experience, Hyllus Maris and Sonia Borg scripted a television series which focussed on issues which would dominate Aboriginal affairs in the following decades. Twenty-five years on, the Macleay Museum will be screening the first two parts of this popular and groundbreaking television series from the 1980s. An interval reception will be held at the Macleay Museum - a final opportunity to see the Living Water exhibition featuring fine artistic expressions of Aboriginal identity from the collections. Commemorate the day before colonisation at the Macleay Date: Thursday 25th January 2006 Time: 5.30pm Where: Screening will take place in the Old Geology Lecture Theatre, University of Sydney (enter via the Parramatta Road footbridge); refreshments will be served at interval in the Macleay Museum.
