A dream inspired by a Jorge Luis Borges story led to a towering 
installation made up of books, writes Robin Usher.

DARIO Vacirca had the original idea that lead to the construction of the 
imposing The Great Wall of Books, which is five metres tall and opens out 
to more than 11 metres wide, after dreaming that books could be used in 
the same way as bricks.
